CCI explains climate change to the French public at the 15th Forum Meteo et Climat

Members of the French public, and hundreds of Parisian schoolchildren, were taken on a tour of the earth as part of the four day 15th International Forum Meteo et Climat earlier this month.

The conference audience were show various satellite images of various parts of the Earth to deepen their understanding of satellite technology and the important role it plays in our modern society.

Of course observing climate change is an important benefit of Earth Observation satellites and animations from the ESA Climate from Space app illustrated the change in many different facets of our climate over the past 40 years such as sea surface temperature, greenhouse gases and the antarctic ice sheet.
