The Sea State_cci project is currently generating the first global, high-quality, consistent and accurate long-term time-series of Sea State parameters, based on satellite observations.

Join the wider Sea State community, for the 1st Sea State CCI User Consultation Meeting in Brest, France, on 8-9 October.

The meeting will pave the way for establishing robust global and regional sea state statistics (e.g. extremes, return periods, trends) that are fundamental for climate science, safety at sea, numerical weather predictions, marine spatial planning, offshore and coastal engineering, and coastal management.

Research and industry Users will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover the latest on Sea State observations, modelling and applications;
  • Present their Sea State activities;
  • Take part in defining future requirements for Sea State Climate Data records in terms of parameters, resolution, uncertainty and stability.
