The CCI System Engineering Working Group (SEWG) aims to ensure that the system engineering aspect of the projects is performed in a coordinated way. The group checks that the system engineering process is informed by current relevant activities and that operational performance is optimised, as well as keeping all documentation and terminology consistent across the projects. It includes at least one representative from each CCI team who communicate via teleconference roughly every two months, and meet once a year at the Collocation meeting.
The CCI Data Standards Working Group (DSWG) defines a standard approach to CCI data formats and data description to ensure maximum usability of the data sets produced within the CCI and allow generic tools for data access, discovery and manipulation to be deployed. Its aims are to provide a forum to manage data standards across CCI projects, ensure that existing standards are adhered to within CCI data products, agree common format and metadata requirements for CCI data products, enable CCI projects to feedback and iterate on proposed data standards, and to share expertise. The DSWG have defined a Data standards requirements for CCI data producers (v1.2, March 2015) and a supporting vocabulary list focusing on Platform, Sensor, Institution and Project.
